CHAKRADHARPUR -In a startling incident in Chakradharpur, a high-voltage wire fell onto Shital Gupta’s parked Maruti Wagon R van, leading to a catastrophic fire.

Gupta, the owner of Pooja Bakery, faced this tragedy late at night when an 11 thousand volt wire snapped, engulfing his vehicle in flames.

According to reports, the intense fire completely destroyed all four wheels of the van, leaving it in ruins.

Local residents, displaying commendable alertness, played a crucial role in preventing the situation from escalating into a major disaster.

The timing of the incident, around 3 AM, was a fortunate aspect, as the area was largely deserted.

Officials have noted that had this incident occurred during the day, the consequences could have been significantly more severe, possibly leading to a major accident.

The incident has raised questions about electrical safety and infrastructure maintenance in the area, prompting calls for immediate review and action to prevent such occurrences in the future.
