Tata Motors 2023-24 Sports Meet Concludes with Exciting Cricket Finals

Tata Motors’ 2023-24 sports season culminated in an exhilarating cricket championship, showcasing young talent and team spirit in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Vivek Prasad, Tata Motors’ sports in-charge, crowned the champions and runners-up in a grand ceremony concluding the Tata Motors 2023-24 Inter Team and Inter School Cricket Championship.

The event’s climax featured the Prima Challengers clinching victory in the Inter Team category by a narrow margin of 10 runs against the Indigo Fighters.

Ajay Kumar Das of Prima Challengers, with his all-round performance of 31 runs and 3 wickets, was celebrated as the man of the match in this nail-biting finale.

Indigo Fighters’ Upendra Kumar Singh emerged as the tournament’s standout player, contributing 200 runs and taking 8 wickets throughout the event.

In the school category, Shiksha Niketan School emerged victorious over Gulmohar High School by a 15-run margin in an intense battle.

Arsalan Ahmed Rashid of Shiksha Niketan, who took 4 crucial wickets in the final, earned the man of the match title, enhancing his team’s triumph.

W Ahmed Rashid, also from Shiksha Niketan, was recognized as the best player of the tournament for his impressive tally of 60 runs and 9 wickets.

Gulmohar High School, despite a strong start, fell short in their chase, finishing at 81 runs in 18.5 overs against Shiksha Niketan’s 96.

The final matches were held at Telco Stadium, with the school category final featuring a strategic fielding decision by Gulmohar High School after winning the toss.

Dignitaries including Gulmohar High School Principal Preeti Sinha, and Tata Motors‘ officials Rajat Kumar Singh, Ashish Ranjan Sen, and Bharat Bhushan Singh graced the event as guests of honor.
