Record Placement at NIT Jamshedpur: 6 Students Get Rs 83 Lakh Offers

NIT Jamshedpur students secure high-value placements from Atlassian.

JAMSHEDPUR – The National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur (NIT-Jamshedpur), has achieved a remarkable milestone in its 2023-24 placement season.

Six BTech students from the institute have been offered annual packages of Rs 83 lakh each by Atlassian, an Australian IT company.

This year’s highest package, received by students of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, marks a significant achievement for the institute.

Computer Science students Adarsh Kashyap, Tanya Singh, and Arpit Kumar, along with Electrical Engineering students Shubham Kumar and Rahul Pandey, are among the recipients of these offers.

This record-breaking placement is a substantial increase from last year, where only one student secured an offer of Rs 83 lakh.

Professor AK Choudhary, NIT Jamshedpur’s professor of training and placement, confirmed these placements.

NIT Jamshedpur’s rigorous academic program, coupled with its emphasis on practical industrial training, is credited for preparing its students to excel in competitive job markets.

The institute mandates industrial training for all seventh-semester BTech students, either in India or abroad, integrating classroom knowledge with real-world applications.

This approach ensures students are well-equipped to face real-world challenges and apply their academic concepts effectively.

The remarkable placements achieved by NIT Jamshedpur students reflect the high caliber of education and training provided by the institute.

It also highlights the growing demand for skilled professionals in the technology sector, with top companies willing to offer competitive packages for the right talent.

The success of these students serves as an inspiration to current and prospective students of NIT Jamshedpur, emphasizing the institute’s role in shaping promising futures in engineering and technology.
