JAMSHEDPUR – Health Minister Banna Gupta graced the grand Doctor Alumni Function at MGM College, Dimna as the chief guest.
He expressed the unique joy and emotional resonance of such events, especially when reconnecting with old friends after two decades.
However, Gupta also addressed a critical issue, noting the societal expectation of doctors and urging them to avoid protesting over minor disagreements.

The function honored alumni batches, and the attending doctors enjoyed a lively reunion with their batchmates, indulging in dancing and singing.
The event marked the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of MGM Medical College, a significant milestone since its establishment 62 years ago.
The reunion was a poignant moment for many alumni, some of whom had not met in over 70 years.
The gathering was a blend of nostalgia, joy, and camaraderie, with doctors from various countries in attendance.
Despite their busy schedules, these alumni took time out to relive their college days and reconnect with their peers.
The three-day long ceremony began at Beldih Golf Course, inaugurated by distinguished guests including Dr. SP Jakhanwal, Dr. Sunil Kumar, and Dr. KK Singh, among others.
The event featured a cultural program, magazine release, and a dance session for the alumni.
Notably, actress Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra, an alumnus of the 1970 batch, attended the event.
She shared her experiences and the significant transformations she witnessed in the institution over the years.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations of MGM College not only provided a platform for alumni to reunite but also served as an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of medical education and practices over the decades.
