3rd Gender Groups Clash Near ISWP Grounds in Jamshedpur

Two Eunuch Groups Engage in Violent Dispute in Jamshedpur’s Telco Area

A violent confrontation erupted between two eunuch groups near the ISWP Company grounds under the Telco police station in Jamshedpur on Friday.

JAMSHEDPUR – A fierce altercation broke out between two groups of eunuchs, identified as Shakeela and Neelu groups, over a territorial dispute near the ISWP Company grounds under Telco police station jurisdiction. The clash involved the use of sticks and swords, leading to chaos in the area.

Upon receiving the information, Telco police station officers arrived at the scene and intervened to calm the situation.

The brawl resulted in injuries to about a dozen eunuchs from both sides. From the Shakeela group, Mahi, Riya, Koyal, Sanju, Roshni, and Kareena were injured, while Aparna, Rosie, Riya, Ayesha, Sunaina, and Soni of the Neelu group also sustained injuries.

Both parties, in injured condition, sought treatment at MGM Hospital. They have filed written complaints at the Telco police station. The police have stated that the fight was a result of an ongoing dispute over the division of territory between the two groups.

The Shakeela group alleged that a large group of 30 to 40 eunuchs from the opposing faction attacked them with sticks and swords. This incident reportedly occurred when they were returning from congratulating a bride in the wire company area.

On the other hand, the Neelu group claimed that their group, including their cancer-stricken leader Neelu, was attacked by 10 to 15 individuals from the Shakeela group while they were at a house in the telegraph company area to receive congratulations.

The Telco police are investigating the case, delving into the longstanding dispute between the two groups that has previously led to violence in other areas, including Adityapur.
