Corona claims 1 more life in Jharkhand on Sunday, total deaths 1,035 now

137 new cases detected, 159 cured too

Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed 1 more life on Sunday taking the total number of deaths due to the pandemic to 1,035 in the state. On Saturday 4 deaths were reported in the state. On Sunday, 1 death was caused by the pandemic in Gumla district of the state.

The recovery rate in the state is at 97.71%, while the mortality rate is at 0.89%.

As per official data, 137 new cases have been detected in the state on Sunday, taking the number of total infections to 1,15,529. Out of these, 1,12,893 have already been cured. On Sunday too, 159 patients have been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has 1,601 active cases of coronavirus infection, while the deaths have reached the figure of 1035.

Till date, 48,38,094 samples have been tested in the state. East Singhbhum remains the worst-affected district of the state. However, for the last 26 days, no death has been reported from the district.
