State Health Minister Banna Gupta Demands Action Against Irregularities in Modi Government

Health Minister calls for Prime Minister to take stringent action on scams exposed in the CAG report, warns of mass movement if ignored.

JAMSHEDPUR – Addressing a press conference organized in the Jamshedpur Parishad,

State Health Minister Banna Gupta expressed serious concerns over the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), presented in the recent monsoon session of Parliament.

According to Gupta, the report has unveiled scams and irregularities worth lakhs of crores of rupees within the Modi government.

He urged the Prime Minister to register a case against the ministries involved in scams and take action.

If not, he warned, the Congress party will be forced to launch a nation-wide mass movement.

Regarding specifics, Gupta cited the construction cost of Dwarka Expressway road, which increased from Rs. 18 crore to Rs. 250 crore per kilometer.

Furthermore, he highlighted fraudulent registrations under the Ayushman Bharat health scheme, with 7.5 lakh beneficiaries found on one mobile number, and the withdrawal of funds using the names of 88,670 deceased persons.

On the random audit of only five toll plazas, the CAG discovered an excess of Rs 132 crore collected from road users, he said.

Minister Gupta also spoke of delayed and pending projects under the Swadeshi Darshan Yojana, irregularities in coal mine auctions, and errors in the tendering process of Bharatmala projects, all contributing to significant losses.

Dozens of Congress leaders and workers, including District President Anand Bihari Dubey, were present at the press conference.
