MSDC Launched in Chaibasa to Boost Employment and Skill Development

Tata Steel Foundation opens Multi Skill Development Centre in Chaibasa; aims at bridging educational and skill gaps with 3 to 6 months courses.

CHAIBASA – The Tata Steel Foundation has launched the Multi Skill Development Centre (MSDC) in Chaibasa.

Joba Majhi, Jharkhand’s Minister of Women, Child Development, and Social Security, graced the event as the chief guest.

Deepak Birua, MLA, Chaibasa; Shashindra Kumar Badaik, SDM, West Singhbhum; Ananya Mittal, DC; Rajashree I V, Vice President, Quess Corp Limited; Atul Bhatnagar, GM, Ore Mines & Quarries, Tata Steel, and other officials were also in attendance.

The initiative aims to provide employment opportunities for youth in West Singhbhum through targeted courses.

The Centre will offer three to six months of specialized courses in warehouse packaging, auto service technician, helper technician, and mobile assembly.

These courses were identified through a comprehensive regional study.

The Tata Steel Foundation will support the program by providing the necessary infrastructure, training partners, trainers, and equipment.

The MSDC is a significant part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to address the educational infrastructure and skill development gaps in the region.
