SI Martyred in Chaibasa Naxal Attack Cremated with State Honors
Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar Tiwari, martyred in Naxal attack, cremated in native village Tolra with state honors; family and officials attend.
DALTONGANJ – Sub-inspector Amit Kumar Tiwari, who laid down his life in the line of duty during a Naxal encounter in Chaibasa, was cremated with state honors in his native village Tolra.
Dignitaries including MP Vishnudayal Ram, IG Rajkumar Lakda, SP Rishma, ASP Rishabh Garg, SDPO Surjit Kumar, and thousands of people paid their last respects.
The encounter occurred late on Monday night in the Tumbahaka forest of Toto police station area of Chaibasa, where Tiwari and Havaldar Gautam Kumar were martyred.
A 2012 batch sub-inspector of Jharkhand Jaguar, Tiwari was a resident of Tolra village in Palamu.
He leaves behind a newborn son, whom he never had the chance to meet, and a family with several members serving in the police force.
The tragic loss resonates with many, as hundreds gathered for the last viewing, mourning the loss of a brave hero.
