Srinath University Kicks Off Academic Year with “Srinath Shankhnaad 2023” Orientation Program

Srinath University in Adityapur welcomed its new batch of students with its annual orientation program, "Srinath Shankhnaad 2023".

ADITYAPUR – Srinath University, Adityapur, held its annual orientation program "Srinath Shankhnaad 2023" for the academic year 2023-2024 at the Tata Auditorium, XLRI. The event saw the participation of esteemed guests including Prabhat Kumar, SSP for East Singhbhum, and Prem Ranjan, JAS Regional Director for JIADA’s Adityapur Region.

The event was kick-started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries, including founders and trustees of Srinath University.

Addressing the students and parents, chief guest Prabhat Kumar, SSP for East Singhbhum, highlighted the shift from school to college education.

He urged students to actively pursue their dreams, citing the story of Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys, and his journey of hard work and perseverance to success.

Prem Ranjan, J.A.S Regional Director, JIADA, welcomed the students and parents and stressed the importance of focus on career during this crucial period.

The event was further graced by inspiring words from Merlyn Ferdose Anklesaria, Senior Manager of Corporate Communication and CFE at Tata Steel, who encouraged students to explore their potential while staying dedicated to their work.

Sukhdev Mahato, Chancellor of Srinath University, gave an overview of the university’s offerings and its future prospects, outlining the objectives and goals of the institution.

"We are dedicated to providing quality education to all our students," said VC Dr. Govind Mahato, assuring support and encouragement for students to realize their full potential.

He also emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities.

J. Rajesh, the Dean (Administration) of Srinath University, administered the oath for the Orientation Program 2023. The event concluded with a group dance by senior students representing diverse Indian cultures and a vote of thanks by Pro-Chancellor Gurudev Mahto.
