Sikhs from Jharkhand, led by Shailendra Singh, to meet Patna Sahib Management Committee to discuss their exclusion from South Bihar constituency.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Sikh community of Jharkhand, under the leadership of Shailendra Singh and Bhagwan Singh, is set to leave for Patna Sahib tomorrow.
The aim of this trip is to present their stance to the Patna Sahib Steering Committee on their exclusion from the South Bihar constituency.
In preparation for this, a meeting was held at the Central Gurdwara Management Committee (CGPC) office to discuss this matter further.
Sardar Bhagwan Singh presided over the meeting.
All parties unanimously agreed to meet with Sardar Jagjit Singh Sohi, the outgoing President of Takht Shri Harmandir Sahib, Patna and present a memorandum.
Bhagwan Singh expressed hope for a resolution.
He warned that the Sikhs of Jharkhand would be compelled to protest if their concerns weren’t addressed.
Shailendra Singh, Chairman of CGPC, stated that their objective was to discuss the rights of Jharkhand Sikhs with Sardar Jagjit Singh Sohi.
Bhagwan Singh reiterated their desire for a peaceful resolution, cautioning that failing this, democratic agitation and demonstrations may be their only recourse.
