Civil surgeon initiates Indradhanush 5.0 campaign in Jamshedpur’s Sadar Hospital, ensuring vaccinations for deprived children under the health scheme.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Indradhanush 5.0 campaign, a healthcare initiative of the Indian Government, has been launched in Jamshedpur’s Sadar Hospital.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Jujhar Manjhi marked the start of the campaign by administering medication to children who were previously unable to receive vaccinations.
Indradhanush Abhiyan focuses on providing vaccinations to children who have been deprived due to various circumstances.
This campaign has been previously launched four times, with this being the fifth iteration in the state of Jharkhand.
Dr. Manjhi explained that the campaign is being implemented under plan 592, aiming to provide vaccinations to around 3700 beneficiaries who have been left out previously.
He stressed the significant role of mercury workers, Sahiyas, and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) in the success of this campaign.
Emphasizing the importance of full vaccination for overall health, Dr. Manjhi stated that any child who has missed their vaccination due to any reason should be considered for this campaign.
The ultimate goal, he said, is to ensure 100% vaccination coverage.
