JWU Hosts Environment-Focused “Barso Re Sawan Parva”

MBA Department of Jamshedpur Women’s University celebrates "Barso Re Sawan Parva – Harit Vatavaran Ke Saath Chalo", blending cultural celebration with environmental awareness.

JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of the auspicious Sawan month, the MBA Department of Jamshedpur Women’s University hosted the "Barso Re Sawan Parva – Harit Vatavaran Ke Saath Chalo" event on Saturday.

The event aimed at creating a distinctive experience for attendees while demonstrating the university’s commitment to environmental consciousness.

The celebration, infused with cultural performances, also served as a heartfelt farewell to the 2021–23 batch of MBA students who are in their final semester.

A variety of cultural activities, such as Ganesh Vandana, group dances, and mehndi painting, were enthusiastically participated in by the students.

Notably, the Vice-Chancellor, along with the students and the MBA faculty, partook in a tree-planting session, symbolizing their commitment to environmental conservation.

The Vice-Chancellor in her address underscored the importance of Sawan month and the value of the environment and vegetation, stating that all species on Earth cherish this season as it is a period of rest.

The event was initiated and coordinated by Drs. Shweta Prasad and Keya Banerjee from the MBA Department.

Distinguished guests at the event’s inauguration included Anjila Gupta, vice chancellor, Dr. Kshwar Ara, Dr. Deepa Sharan, Dr. Annapurna Jha, and Dr. Ratna Mitra.
