Loyola Feast Day at Xavier School, Gamharia Honors Saint Ignatius
Xavier School in Gamharia commemorates Loyola Feast Day, a tribute to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, with a student-led cultural programme.
JAMSHEDPUR – The students of Xavier School in Gamharia celebrated Loyola Feast Day, an annual tribute to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus.
The feast day, observed on July 31, featured a cultural programme performed by the school’s pupils to honour the saint’s contribution.
Reverend Father Somi Mathew from XLRI, the event’s chief guest, addressed the students about the Society of Jesus’ mission to nurture conscientious citizens through high-quality education.
Present at the event were Father Francis and Father Mukti from XITE College.
In addition, the school’s principal, Father Sebastian, delivered a powerful message, urging the students to follow the example of Saint Ignatius of Loyola in serving the disadvantaged and oppressed members of society.
Also in attendance at the function were Vice-principal Father Dayanidhi, Sisters Reshmi and Archana, Administrator Brother Amalraj, and Prabhat Mishra, along with other faculty members.
