Jamshedpur Prepares for Muharram, District Administration Calls for Harmony

Jamshedpur’s district administration gears up for Muharram, calls for peaceful procession, and vigilant social media use.

JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has put extensive preparations in place for the observance of Muharram.

A District Level Peace Committee meeting was conducted at the Sidhgora Town Hall on Tuesday.

In the meeting, a consensus was reached to celebrate Muharram in a peaceful and harmonious manner.

Representatives from all the Akhara and Karbala committees across the district attended this crucial meeting.

The district administration called upon all the Akhara committees to maintain mutual harmony during processions.

The meeting saw various suggestions being proposed by the Akhara committees.

Senior district officials took these suggestions into account, directing the concerned departmental officials to find viable solutions.

The district administration also advised avoiding usage of provocative songs and the use of DJs.

Special vigilance was requested concerning the use of social media during this period.
