A significant focus of their conversation was the reinstatement of pre-COVID train schedules.
Mahato specifically requested the resumption of certain trains at various stations: the Utkal Express at Rakhamines Station, the Ispat Express at Galudih Station, the Shalimar-Kurla and Tata-Kharagpur trains, the Santragachi-Ajmer Express, and the Shalimar-Gorakhpur train at Ghatshila Station.
He also proposed that the Howrah-Ranchi train should operate daily.
Further, Mahato advocated for the resumption of the Tata-SMVT and Tata-Ernakulam train services.
Apart from service resumptions, Mahato highlighted a language issue concerning railway station name boards.
He requested the return of Bengali language on these boards, alluding to the recent removal of Bengali names from all railway stations.
