Manipur Violence Draws Criticism from Baharagora MLA Samir Mohanty

JMM leader denounces the Central Government and Manipur State over continuous violence and women’s atrocities.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a press conference held on Thursday, the MLA of Baharagora, Samir Mohanty, publicly condemned the Central Government and Manipur State for the continuous violence and atrocities against women in Manipur.

He said that the BJP, in power at the central and in various state governments, is engaged in divisive politics based on caste and religion, rather than focusing on the country’s development.

The focus, he stated, is on constructing the Ram Mandir and manipulating public sentiment, rather than addressing pressing issues.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the BJP is currently trying to fault the Hemant government in Jharkhand, while it had failed to foster development during its 16-year reign post state formation.

Despite the opposition’s efforts to create obstacles, the Hemant government, they asserted, is achieving all-round development in the state and has proven its effectiveness in various fields.
