Renowned Economics Professor Dr. Rekha Jha of Jamshedpur Women’s College Passes Away

The university community mourns the loss of Professor Dr. Rekha Jha, a distinguished economics scholar with 26 years of service, as condolences pour in from across the institution.

JAMSHEDPUR – The academic community of Jamshedpur has been left in mourning following the demise of Professor Dr. Rekha Jha, a revered economics professor at the old Jamshedpur Women’s College.

Dr. Jha, who dedicated 26 years of her life to teaching and conducting research in economics, left an indelible mark on the institution and its students.

Upon hearing the news of her passing, the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, officials, staff, and faculty members visited her home to express their deepest sympathies.

A condolence meet was convened at the Jamshedpur Women’s University to pay respects to the departed soul.

A two-minute silence was observed to honour Dr. Jha, and participants took the opportunity to reminisce about her significant contributions to the field and the institution.
