Demand for Martyrs’ Memorial Construction Escalates in Jamshedpur
Committee in Jamshedpur submits a request to the Deputy Commissioner for a martyrs’ memorial, warns of action if ignored.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Shaheed Memorial Construction Committee of Jamshedpur submitted a demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner of the district, calling for the construction of a martyr’s memorial at Sakchi Shaheed Chowk.
The Committee emphasized the urgency of the request.

Sanjeev Acharya, the founder of the Committee, reminded that numerous students had become martyrs during the J.P. movement, and that the demand for the memorial at the said location had been made for years.
However, he lamented that the martyrs of the J.P. movement had not been duly honored till date.
Acharya issued a warning, stating that if the district administration did not promptly proceed with the construction of the martyr’s memorial, the committee would take upon themselves to build the memorial at the said location.
Furthermore, he declared that they were prepared to face the batons and bullets of the administration, as they had done before, for this cause.
