Vehicle Inspection Drive Leads to Fines for Traffic Rule Violations in Jamshedpur

District Transport Officer’s road safety team imposes fines on 20 drivers in an inspection drive to enforce traffic rules.

JAMSHEDPUR – A vehicle inspection drive was conducted under the guidance of District Transport Officer Mr. Dinesh Ranjan.

The drive took place in front of the Tube Gol Chakkar, and was carried out by the road safety team comprising DRSM Prakash Kumar Giri, Road Safety Engineer Naveen Kumar, and IT Assistant Ajay Kumar.

During the drive, a total of Rs 40,000 was collected as fines, with 20 drivers being charged for failing to adhere to road safety rules.

In collaboration with Golmuri traffic station, the safety team fined all vehicles parked illegally on the road.

In addition, all local hotels, dhabas, shops, and factories were notified that no vehicles should be parked on the road.

Shopkeepers were warned that non-compliance in the future would result in notices and the blocking of improperly parked vehicles.

The violators were educated about the importance of traffic rules to prevent accidents and safeguard life and property.

Mr. Dinesh Ranjan underscored the importance of such drives in spreading awareness about road safety, with the ultimate goal of reducing road accidents in the district.

He urged district residents to comply with traffic rules.

The Transport Department team and traffic police will continue regular checking drives and they have urged the citizens to comply with traffic rules to avoid penalties.
