Middleman Accused of Extortion for Suspended SHO Faces FIR
A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Chandramouli Mishra, who allegedly extorted money on behalf of suspended SHO Prabhat Kumar.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Monday, an FIR was registered against Chandramouli Mishra, the alleged middleman accused of extorting money for suspended SHO Prabhat Kumar of Birsanagar.
The complaint was lodged by Akhilesh Kumar alias Chhotu, a resident of Birsanagar zone number eight, on the instructions of SSP Prabhat Kumar.
Akhilesh alleges that his brother, Amritesh Kumar alias Anshu, was arrested on June 17 on charges of gas cutting, along with several others.
Akhilesh claims he paid Rs 50,000 for his brother’s release from police custody.
According to him, this money was transferred to Chandramouli Mishra in two installments through Phone Pay: one of Rs 27,300 and the other of Rs 22,700.
He also alleges that the station in-charge accepted a total of Rs 1.5 lakh to release everyone and directed him to communicate with Chandramouli.
In another development, it was discovered that many land mafia, with the alleged collusion of the former station in-charge, were illegally selling government land in Birsanagar.
A list is now being prepared to identify these land mafias.
