Tragic Drowning: 12-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Kharkai River

The body of Vikas Yadav, a 12-year-old who had gone to play with friends, was found in the Kharkai river, Jamshedpur, marking a tragic drowning incident.

JAMSHEDPUR – A 12-year-old boy, Vikas Yadav, resident of Kitadih, went out to play with two neighborhood friends on Monday afternoon.

Tragically, Vikas did not return home.

His lifeless body was later discovered in the Bada Baroda Ghat Kharkai river.

Lala Yadav, father of the deceased, said his son left home at 3 pm but did not return.

Despite inquiries with his son’s friends, no information about Vikas’s whereabouts was forthcoming.

The Bagbera police eventually informed them that Vikas’s body had been recovered from the Kharkai river.

The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.

Upon the grim discovery by locals of a child’s body floating in the river, identification led to the heartbreaking realization that it was Vikas.

As the family mourns, the authorities have sent the body for postmortem and an investigation is currently underway.
