DBMS College of Education Celebrates Sawan with Festive “Amrit Varsha” Event
DBMS College of Education’s Sawan Mahotsav, "Amrit Varsha", offers students a weekend of cultural contests, henna tattooing, music, and entertainment.
JAMSHEDPUR – Embracing the freshness, verdant ambience, abundant showers, and merriment that characterize the month of Sawan, the DBMS College of Education hosted an entertaining event titled "Amrit Varsha" over the past weekend.
The event’s schedule was packed with cultural activities such as singing contests, henna tattooing, and the musical game antakshari.
Judging the various contests were Shripriya Dharmarajan, Dr. Monika Uppal, and Anjali Ganesan, who hold the positions of secretaries and deans at DBMS College of Education, Jamshedpur.
Meanwhile, the directors overseeing the performances included Pamela Ghosh Dutta, Archana Raj, Poonam Kumari, Eva Shipra Mundu, Moushumi Dutta, Gayatri Kumari, Kanchan Tiwari, and Dr. Arun Sajjan.
The students showcased their talents with enthusiasm and creativity. In the Satvik food presentation contest, Soumya and Nidhi emerged victorious against Meena and Ashwita.
The Mehndi competition saw Ankita taking the first place, with Shagufta as the runner-up and Soni Kaur receiving an honourable mention. In the colourful contest to dye the most beautiful dupatta, Renuka claimed the top spot, followed by Samiksha.
The winners were presented with awards by Sripriya Dharmarajan and Dr. Monika Uppal.
Khushbu Mishra delivered the thank you speech, while Sudeep Pramanik and Julian Andhoni handled the technical aspects of the event.
