Amit Shah Lays Foundation for ‘Balidan Stambh’, Honors J&K Police Martyrs
Union Home Minister Amit Shah lays foundation for ‘Balidan Stambh’ in Srinagar, meets with families of J&K Police martyrs and distributes appointment letters.
DESK – On his second day of visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for ‘Balidan Stambh’ in Srinagar.
He also met with family members of the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir Police and distributed appointment letters to them.
In a tweet, the Union Home Minister recognized Jammu and Kashmir as the land of indomitable courage and bravery.
He said the ‘Balidan Stambh’ is being constructed to immortalize the valor of the bravehearts who served the nation.
The memorial will not only honor the memory of the martyrs but also inspire patriotism among the youth.
Highlighting the sacrifices made by the J&K Police in their fight against terrorism and their efforts to protect innocent citizens, Shri Shah acknowledged that the people of Kashmir are committed towards peace.
The appointment letters distributed by the minister were on behalf of the J&K Government, given to the family members of the martyrs.
