Man’s Dead Body Found Floating in Bamangoda Pond, Jamshedpur

Local residents discover the body of 55-year-old Suresh Sarkar floating in Bamangoda Pond, Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a shocking incident, locals spotted a dead body floating in Bamangoda pond in Jamshedpur, prompting them to alert the Parsudih police. Upon arrival, the police started an investigation.

The deceased was identified as Suresh Sarkar, a 55-year-old resident of Bamangoda who was known to bathe regularly in the pond.

According to preliminary estimates, Sarkar may have slipped and drowned during his last visit to the pond the previous evening. Upon receipt of the information, a Parsudih police team, along with Bamangoda locals, recovered the body from the pond.

During a chat, Sarkar’s nephew confirmed that the deceased was his unmarried uncle who often bathed in the pond.

While the cause of death is still under investigation, the police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem.
