Triumphant Trio from Jamshedpur Women’s University Qualify for ‘Youth Parliament Debate’

Students from Jamshedpur Women’s University clinch coveted spots in the prestigious ‘Youth Parliament Debate’, proving their mettle amongst top contenders.

Jamshedpur – The esteemed ‘Youth Parliament Debate’, hosted by ISM Dhanbad, has announced its participants, with three representatives hailing from Jamshedpur Women’s University.

These remarkable students triumphed over many competitors from universities across Jharkhand.

University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Anjila Gupta, extended warm congratulations and shared words of encouragement for the selected students, lauding them for the honour they have brought to the university.

Initially, thirty participants from the university contested in the event, five of whom progressed to the subsequent rounds.

A panel of esteemed university staff members, including Dr. Kishwar Ara, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Sanatan Deep, Head of Department of Music, Dr. Manisha Titus, Head of Department of English, and Dr. Vishwaraj Lal from the Biotechnology department, formed the jury for the initial rounds. On May 15, the shortlisted students took part in an online interaction with ISM Dhanbad.

Securing their place in the next round, Marisha Pandey, Anshika Mandal and Vasudhara Mandal emerged as the triumphant trio.

They will now carry the university’s banner in the upcoming second-level competition in the country’s capital, New Delhi.

Their travel and accommodation arrangements have been facilitated by the university, indicating their robust support system.

The New Delhi event will witness a confluence of intellectual prowess from all over India.

Winners will be awarded the highly coveted Youth Icon Award on June 5, 2023, setting an example for young minds across the nation.
