Jamshedpur: Day two of the “Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Sub-Junior & Junior State Hockey Championship -2023 Men” saw some thrilling matches. The players fought hard and at the end the teams saw the following results:
Match Nine: Pool-B League Stage.
Hockey Ranchi defeated Hockey Palamu 4-1.
Goal scorers included Faguwa Horo, Deepak Kandulna, and Royan Herenj.
Man of the Match was Astin Lakra from Hockey Palamu.
Match Ten: Pool-B League Stage.
Hockey Gumla won 6-0 against Hockey Hazaribagh.
Goal scorers were Sabian Kiro, Tintus Hemron, and Patras Hassa.
Man of the Match was Patras Hassa from Hockey Gumla.
Match Eleven: Pool-A League Stage.
NTHA triumphed 4-0 over Hockey Khunti.
Goal scorers were Tushar Parmar, Ashish Kerketta, and Bikram Soreng.
Man of the Match was Ritik Bodra from Hockey Khunti.
Match Twelve: Pool-A League Stage.
Hockey Simdega beat Hockey West Singhbhum 5-0.
Goal scorers were Anish Dundung, Kuldeep Barla, Sumray Soreng, Sanjit Ekka, and Ankit Ekka.
Man of the Match was Tisu Bodra from Hockey West Singhbhum.
The final standings after all league matches:
Sub Junior Pool A: NTHA topped Pool A, and Hockey Gumla topped Pool B.
The first semi-finals will be between NTHA and Ranchi, and the second semi-final will be between Gumla vs Simdega.
Match Thirteen: Semi-Final -1.
NTHA tied 1-1 with Hockey Ranchi in full time, but Hockey Ranchi won 4-2 in a shootout.
Goal scorers were Aman Tigga, Fugwa Horo, Asim Ekka, Nicolos Topno, Jolen Topno, Rana Munda, and Sumit Tete.
Man of the Match was Pardesh Munda from Hockey West Singhbhum.
Match Fourteen: Semi-Final -2.
Gumla defeated Hockey Simdega 4-0.
Goal scorers were Ayan Kerketta, Patras Hassa, and Tintus Hemrom.
Man of the Match was Sumit Kindo from Hockey Simdega.
The 3rd Place match will be played between NTHA & Hockey Simdega at 6.00am, and the Finals between Hockey Gumla vs Hockey Ranchi at 7.15 am on 10th May 2023.
