Worker dies in accident at forging Plant, protests ensue demanding compensation and job security for family.
Adityapur: Bindeshwari Dubey, a contract worker at Ramakrishna Forging Plant under the jurisdiction of Adityapur police station in Seraikela Kharsawan district, tragically lost his life in a workplace accident.
Despite being rushed to the ESIC hospital by the company management, the doctors declared Dubey dead upon arrival.
Following the news of Dubey’s death, other workers became agitated and started protesting at the company gate with the deceased’s body, demanding compensation.
Satya Prakash, the Vice President of the Congress Kamgar Unit, and Congress District President Ambuj Kumar arrived at the scene, supporting the workers’ demands for a 20 lakh compensation to the laborer’s family and a permanent job for one family member.
Bindeshwari Dubey is survived by his wife, a younger sister, and two small children. The family is said to be from Baba Kuti.
The incident has left Dubey’s family in a state of mourning.
Adityapur police station officers arrived at the scene and began their investigation into the case.
At the time of writing, the grieving family members remained at the company gate with the deceased’s body.
