JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy visited the Ghaghidih Central Jail on Tuesday to meet jailed BJP leader Abhay Singh and other Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders who were taken into custody in connection with the recent Kadma violence in Jamshedpur.
Post his meeting with the jailed leaders, MLA Saryu Roy spoke to the media and shared insights regarding the incident and the follow-up developments.

He informed the media that the jailed BJP and VHP leaders claimed they were not present at the scene when the violence took place.
Roy also mentioned that at his party level too an probe committee has been formed to probe the matter from all angles.
The committee, which is operating at the leaders’ level, will probe every aspect of the incident, ensuring a fair and comprehensive insight into the incidents as they unfolded.
The Jamshedpur East MLA stated that further strategy and course of action would be determined based on the findings of the ‘probe committee’.
The visit to Ghaghidih Central Jail is likely to spark further discussions and debates surrounding the arrests made in connection with the recent violence.
The BJP leader Babulal Marandi had met Abhay Singh in Ghaghidih Jail a couple of days back too and he too had criticized his and VHP leaders’ arrest as ‘politically motivated’.
