Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Pradesh BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash today launched a scathing attack on Hemant Soren government and East Singhbhum administration after he was not allowed to meet the BJP leaders and workers being housed in jail by the Ghaghidih Jail administration on Wednesday. Later, he held a press conference and flayed the state government accusing it of dictatorial attitude.
Earlier, the state BJP President made headlines on Wednesday when he visited the Ghaghidih Jail in Jamshedpur to meet BJP leaders and workers jailed in the Kadma Shastri Nagar communal violence case.
However, he was turned away by the jail management and was not allowed to meet any BJP leader or worker.
Prakash then went on to address a press conference, where he launched a scathing attack on the state government.
During the press conference, Prakash alleged that the state government was trying to weaken the BJP by misusing the police machinery and targeting its workers and leaders in the Kadma violence case.

He claimed that the sections imposed on them clearly showed that the arrests were politically motivated.
The BJP has been alleging that the state government has been targeting its workers and leaders in an attempt to weaken the party.
He also accused the state government of being scared, citing an incident in Ranchi yesterday as an example.
“Despite the state government’s attempts to weaken us, the BJP will not be weakened. We stand with our jailed leaders and workers and will provide full cooperation to them. We will ensure that they are released from jail soon,” Prakash said.

Several BJP leaders, including Abhay Singh, and party workers were arrested in connection with the communal violence case of Kadma Shashtri Nagar and were sent to Ghaghidih Jail.
Deepak Prakash’s visit to the jail and subsequent press conference is likely to further escalate the tensions between the BJP and the state government in Jharkhand.
