Jamshedpur Women’s University B.Ed Students Protest Against Rural School Training

Girl students cite mental stress and safety concerns for their reluctance to go to rural schools

Jamshedpur: B.Ed students of Jamshedpur Women’s University protested against being sent to schools in rural areas for training, stating that it causes mental stress, financial loss, and safety concerns. On Tuesday, the students reached the Deputy Commissioner’s office to demand intervention in the matter.

The girl students, who are in their second semester, will be sent to rural schools in Baharagora, Ghatshila, and other blocks for two months of training. The schools are being allotted directly to the B.Ed trainees from the School Education and Literacy Department in Ranchi.

The students are concerned about the mental stress and financial loss they may face during their training period. They also raised questions about their safety while working in rural areas.

The B.Ed students demanded that the Deputy Commissioner intervene in the matter and provide a solution to their concerns. The protest was carried out peacefully, and the students were assured that their concerns would be addressed.

The training period is an essential component of the B.Ed program, and it is crucial to ensure that it is carried out in a safe and secure environment. The concerns raised by the students are valid, and it is essential to take appropriate measures to address them.

The protest by the B.Ed students of Jamshedpur Women’s University highlights the need for better planning and management of training programs for students. It is necessary to provide a supportive and safe environment for students during their training period to ensure their holistic development.
