Jamshedpur Excise Department Busts Illegal Mini Liquor Factory in Sidhgora Babudih

Spurious Liquor Worth Over 3 Lakhs Seized During Raids

Jamshedpur: Following the Deputy Commissioner’s directions, an unlawful mini-liquor factory was busted in Babudih area, under the jurisdiction of Sidhgora Police Station, marking a big success for the Excise Department. During the raid, the department seized spurious alcohol valued at more than Rs three lakhs.

According to Excise Department Inspector Praveen Kumar Rana, the department had been receiving tip-offs about the illegal activity in Babudih Basti. As a result, a team was formed in accordance with the instructions given by senior officials.

The squad not only found the illegal booze factory during the operation, but they also found equipment used to make fake alcohol and a scooter.

The factory operator, however, escaped capture.

The scooty seized during the operation, according to Inspector Rana, might be useful in locating the operator.

The Excise Department is currently waging a drive in preparation for the upcoming Ram Navami festival, which includes this crackdown.

The department intends to keep up these initiatives to stop the manufacture and sale of illicit alcohol.

The Excise Department or local police are asking anyone with information on the owner of the factory or other unlawful activity to come forward and report it. To guarantee their safety, informants’ identities shall be kept secret.
