Congress workers protest attack on Dr. Ajoy Kumar in Tripura, burn Modi and Shah’s effigies at Sakchi, Bhalubasa

Jamshedpur: Congress leaders, workers and supporters on Saturday protested against the attack on Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s cavalcade in Tripura and burnt the effigies of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at Sakchi Roundabout.

The effigies of Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Manik Shah were set ablaze to register a forceful protest against the attack in Tripura on Dr. Ajoy Kumar and the Tripura Congress State President.

The Asangathit Kamgar Evam Karmachari Union Congress members passionately denounced the Narendra Modi Government at the Center during the effigy burning programme at Sakchi Roundabout. They also harshly lambasted the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his failure in stopping attacks on opposition leaders..

The Congress members said that the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha were scared of Dr. Ajoy Kumar’s support among Tripurans and the party’s state president’s acceptance among the masses.

They asserted that the attack on Dr. Ajoy Kumar and the State President were motivated by this fear.

They claimed that the party workers are presently denouncing the assault by setting fire to effigies of the Tripura Chief Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah.

On the other hand, a group of Congress supporters led by Neeraj Singh, the District President of the Young Congress, vented its anger at Bhalubasa Chowk by setting fire to effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Tripura.

They charged that the administration was trying to stifle the voices of the common people and was acting in a dictatorial manner. Neeraj Singh lambasted the central government and vehemently condemned the incident in Tripura.
