Travel back in time with the 2nd edition of Jamshedpur Vintage and Classic Car & Bike Rally

Jamshedpur: The preparations for the 2nd edition of Jamshedpur Vintage and Classic Car & Bike Rally are in full swing to ensure that it is even more successful than last year’s event.

Organized by Tata Steel, the rally will feature a stunning collection of vintage and classic cars and bikes, all of which have been painstakingly restored to their original glory. Participants and spectators alike will be transported back in time as they witness these magnificent machines cruising down the streets of Jamshedpur.

The event will take place on February 25-26, and will begin with a vehicle inspection by the jury on February 26 and the exhibition will be open for public from 5 pm to 8 pm on a Saturday.

The jury members include Sourajit Palchoudhuri, Prithvi Nath Tagore and Biswanath Basu from Kolkata and Col Arup Ratan Basu from Jamshedpur respectively.

The theme of this year`s event is ‘Colonial India’ and the costumes during the rally will be judged by Ruchi Narendran and Poonam Chaudhary.

The flag- off will take place on a Sunday at 8 am by T V Narendran, CEO & Managing director, Tata Steel. The rally will then proceed along a scenic route through the city, passing through some of Jamshedpur’s most iconic landmarks like Bharucha Mansion, Jubilee Park, United Club, Sir Dorabji Tata Park, Keenan Stadium and St. George’s Church and will culminate at United Club, where the prize distribution will take place.

The rally this time has received an overwhelming response from vintage car and bike enthusiasts from across 3 states of West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand with over 80 registrations.

The Reel Contest is also opened for the public, wherein the participants will have to submit one minute reel during the event and upload it on your personal Instagram handle. Tag Tata Steel @TataSteelltd and use hash tag #RetroWheels2023
