MTMH celebrates Children’s Day with child cancer survivors

Jamshedpur: Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital (MTMH) celebrated Children’s Day with child cancer survivors at Kudy Mahanty Auditorium.

Mrs Ruchi Narendran and Mr Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel graced the event as Chief Guests.

On the occasion, MTMH recognised the courage of children fighting the disease and thanked the Kudy Mahanty Chirens Opportunities (KMCO) Trust that has donated generously towards their treatment.

A total of 28 children have been KMCO beneficiaries so far out of which 17 were present on the occasion. A cheque for further support for treatment of childhood cancer was handed over to MTMH by Mrs Rupa Mahanty, Chairperson, KMCO Trust.

Mr Niroop Mahanty, President, KMCO Trust presented a gift to all children. Dr Sujata Mitra, Director, MTMH welcomed the guests and thanked KMCO Trust for their help.

The function was graced by the presence of many senior executives of Tata Steel. The programme was followed by a magic show for the children.

KMCO signed an agreement with MTMH in 2020 to financially support treatment of children at MTMH.
