DGP Rail police Anil Palta visits Tatanagar, issues directives to solve baby theft case

Jamshedpur: Anil Palta, Director General of Railway Police, Jharkhand visited Jamshedpur Rail District Police Headquarters located in Tatanagar on Monday.

On Saturday, a seven-month-old daughter of a nomadic woman from the station area was abducted in broad daylight by an unidentified person from the second entry gate premises of Tatanagar railway station.

He inquired about the action taken so far from the local authorities in that matter.

The DGP also gave strict instructions for the safe return of the baby and the arrest of the accused.

The Railway SP Rishabh Kumar Jha was ordered to investigate the matter, so that the hijacker could be traced.

DGP Anil Palta held a meeting with the officials in the Railway SP’s chamber for about three hours.

Reviewing the old pending cases in the Railway District, he ordered the Railway SP for speedy resolution.

The Railway DGP also interacted with the journalists in the Rail SP office.

He said that the Railway Police will soon start important trains, so that better security can be provided to the passengers.

He said that along with this, manpower is being increased to provide better security on important trains.

He said that the priority is to curb crime against passengers in the station area.

He said that along with passenger safety, emphasis is also being laid on curbing the iron ore mafia.

He said that there is also a plan to rejuvenate the railway buildings.

On the incident of child theft in Tatanagar station area, he said that our team is working on it in a professional manner.

The bus stand is being monitored along with the railway station.

A fresh sketch of the accused has been prepared, which has been circulated in West Bengal along with Jharkhand. The result is expected to come soon in the matter.

On the murder of Vikas Dubey in the railway parking, he said that in this, a fresh post-mortem examination has been recommended to the Medical Board.

During this, Rail SP Rishabh Kumar Jha, Headquarter Rail DSP Himanshu Kumar Manjhi, Tatanagar Railway Station in-charge Y Sao and others were present. After leaving the meeting, the DGP inspected the Railway SP office and gave necessary directions.
