Jharkhand Opthalmological Society holds 19th annual convention at Jamshedpur Golmuri Club

Jamshedpur: A 2-day 19th annual convention of ophthalmologists was organized at Golmuri Club, Jamshedpur under the aegis of Jharkhand Ophthalmological Society. The Health Minister of Jharkhand Mr. Banna Gupta inaugurated the convention.

On this occasion the convener of the organizing committee Dr. Vivek Kedia, Chairman of Scientific Committee Dr. Bharti Kashyap, Secretary of JOS Dr. Bibhuti Bhushan, President Dr. Lalit Jain, etc. were present.

Dr. Vivek Kedia, the convener of the organizing committee said that it is a matter of pride for Jharkhand that around 300 eye specialists from Bihar Jharkhand are participating in this conference. The purpose of the conference is to get updated with the new technology and trends coming in the field of eye medicine.

Chairman Scientific Committee Dr. Bharti Kashyap presented the details of the scientific papers presented by the members of Jharkhand Ophthalmological Society at national and international level during the year and the activities of the scientific committee.

Dr. Bharti Kashyap said that 12 specialized eye doctors were invited from all over the country.

Dr. T.P. Lahane, Dr. Lalit Verma, Dr. Harbansh Lal, Dr. Namrata Sharma, Dr. Partha Biswas, Dr. Santosh Honnavar, Dr. Ragini Parekh, Dr. Prashant Bawankule, Dr. Deven Tuli, Dr. Amit Parwal, Dr. Aditya Pradhan and Dr. Rakesh Shakya exchanged new methods of diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of eyes ranging from cornea, lens to retina, with the ophthalmologists of Jharkhand, which greatly benefitted the people of Jharkhand. will get. For the first time in Bihar – Jharkhand phaco eye was used to teach phaco surgery of cataract to junior ophthalmologists in Gurukul session. This is a specially designed artificial eye for teaching cataract surgery.

The Secretary of the Society, Dr. Bibhuti Bhushan also addressed the function, the chief guest was honored by the members of the office bearers of Jharkhand Eye Society.

In the first technical session of the JHOS Symposium, Dr. Nidhi Gadkar Kashyap presented his video on the challenges faced during DSEC surgery, a new technique of eye transplantation, Dr. B. P. Kashyap and Dr. Rakesh Sakya showed the video of surgical problems and their solutions sometimes encountered during cataract surgery, Dr. Bibhuti Kashyap demonstrated the video of complex operation of the retina of the eyes, Dr. S. . Mitra, Dr. Nitin Dheera and Dr. Vivek Kedia presented the video of different types of cataract operation, Guest speaker of this session Dr. Prashant Bawankule presented revolutionary progress in surgery of children of ROP stage 5 3D visualization Highlight the use of the system.

In the second session of the Conference, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Intramural Oration, Dr. Rajeev Gupta delivered his lecture on how to meet the new challenges in the field of community ophthalmology.
