Babulal Marandi asks CM Hemant Soren to free Jharkhand girls detained in Tamil Nadu mills

Ranchi: The Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly and the former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has urged the Chief Minister Hemant Soren to ensure that all the girls alleged to have been forcibly detained in different thread factories in Tamil Nadu be brought back home.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the former chief minister of Jharkhand Babulal marandi pointed out that dozens of girls from Jharkhand are being forced to work in different factories. He said that the girls had been kept in a mill in Sathyamangalam village of Tamilnadu.

Mr Marandi alleged that these girls were given tailoring and computer training at Bariatu in Latehar at the Deendayal Skill Development Centre.

We also added that the girls were told that they would be sent to Tripura and Kerala for jobs. However from they were handed over to thread factories in Tamilnadu.

Mr Marandi said that when the girls expressed the desire to go back home the mill owners sold them that they have paid for each one of them to be brought their. Mr aunty said that when they refused to work, they were threatened with no food and were locked up in isolation.

Mr. Marandi tweeted that the photos and names of some of the girls are available and he urged the CM to take action for freeing the girls and bringing them back home.
