Flag march on Bakrid eve in city, tight security

Jamshedpur: The district administration has made tight security arrangements and has taken all routine steps to ensure law and order during Bakrid on Wednesday.

A flag march was held Tuesday evening in different parts of the city by the district administration keeping in view the Bakrid festival on Wednesday.

During this, the administration made an appeal to the members of Muslim community to celebrate Bakrid as per the guidelines of the government.

Sonari police station in-charge Renu Gupta said that on the instructions of the senior officers, DSP Kamal Kishore and Kadma station in-charge Manoj Thakur led a flag march in Sonari and Kadma police station areas to send a message of peace and security.

Renu Gupta said that all arrangements are place to maintain peace and security.

The police have appealed to the people of the community to celebrate Bakrid by following the guidelines of the government in a peaceful manner.
