Jamshedpur police nab absconding Sudhir Dubey in Punjab

Jamshedpur: A Jamshedpur police team has arrested Sudhir Dubey, a wanted accused of many cases, in Punjab and has brought him back to the city. He was arrested on the basis of a tip-off from a hotel in Punjab. A joint team of Jamshedpur police and Punjab police made a raid and arrested Sudhir Dubey.

The arrest was made in connection with a case relating to violent clash between two groups that took place 14 months back on April 30, 2020 in Sitaramdera area. Several rounds were fired in that incident.

The police sources said that the arrested accused hails originally from Buxar district of Bihar.

After his arrest, the police reached Jamshedpur after producing him in a court in Punjab and seeking his transit remand.

Several cases of murder, firing and Arms Act were registered against Sudhir Dubey in many police stations of the city.

A case of murder and firing on Amit Rai was also registered.

Sudhir Dubey has been acquitted in most of the cases.

Earlier he was learnt to be close with Akhilesh Singh’s gang.

A warrant for arrest and property attachment was issued against Sudhir Dubey by the court.

Acting on the warrant, the police have arrested him.
