Congress torch rally to protest rise in petrol prices

Jamshedpur: Congress workers protested against the rise in petroleum prices across the country. A number of party workers led by Congress district president Vijay Khan held a demonstration against the alleged faulty economic policies of the central government and said that the protests would continue.

Congress workers took out a torch rally and burnt effigy of the central government.

The party has said that the protests would continue till the price rise is rolled back.

The District President of Congress, Vijay Khan said that due to the policies of the BJP-led government at the Center, the prices of petroleum products are skyrocketing.

He said that the public is facing difficulties, while the central government is fast asleep.

He called for agitations and protests to press for a roll back in the price rise. HE said that his party members would continue the protests for the next 3 days starting Saturday.

He said that the protests would continue till the price rise is withdrawn.
