Hindu Utsav Samity protests against makers of ‘Tandav’

Jamshedpur: Hindu Utsav Samity is considering the option of filing a complaint against the producers and director of the web series film ‘Tandav’. The Samity held a protest against the actors of the movie Ayub Khan, Saif Ali Khan and others as well as Amazon Prime, the OTT platform in Jamshedpur.

The members of Hindu Utsav Samity shouted slogans against the movie makers and Amazon Prime and burnt the posters of the movie.

Speaking to the media, Chintu Singh of the Samity said that Amazon has been insulting Hindu deities continuously under an agenda.

He said that clips of the movie show that the producer and the artistes of the movie are insulting Hindu deities and this would never be tolerated by the Hindus.

The movie is going to be released on silver screen too and it had already been released on Amazon Prime.

The web series has come under intense fire on social media and has created a big furore for knowingly hurting Hindu sentiments for publicity as well as for making a point that Hindu sentiments do not matter at all and that anything can be done to hurt them.

The leaders of Samity said that they are considering the option of filing a complaint against the film makers for hurting the sentiments of Hindus by insulting their deities and religion.

It may be added here that Amazon Prime had recently dropped Saif Ali Khan-starrer movie Tandav from its platform.

The movie Tandav has been criticised by many as an ‘anti Hindu series’.

Reports from Maharashtra say that BJP MLA Ram Kadma has already lodged a complaint at Ghatkopar police station against the makers of the web series for allegedly mocking Hindu deities.

The furore is likely to continue for days as several Hindu leaders and politicians too have criticised the web series and have imputed motive against the makers of the web series.
