Corona claims 2 lives on Monday in Jharkhand

Total deaths in state reach 988, mortality rate 0.91%, recovery rate 97.51%

Ranchi: Jharkhand has lost 2 lives to coronavirus pandemic on Monday. With this, the total number of deaths caused by the virus has now reached 988.

According to the official data, on Monday, 179 new cases of coronavirus infections were detected across the state. With this, the total number of infections in the state has now reached 1,10,457.

On the other hand, 214 patients were also cured and discharged from hospitals. The total number of recoveries in the state has now reached 1,07,710.

Till date, the state has tested 43,55,970 samples in all. Out of these, 1,10,457 samples have tested positive.

For now, the state has 1,759 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The recovery rate in the state has inched up to 97.51% on Sunday. On the other hand, there has been a slight rise in mortality rate too as it slides up to 0.91%.

East Singhbhum district remains the worst-hit district of the state. On Monday too the district has seen death of one person due to the pandemic.
