No corona death on Tuesday, total deaths 369

28 new positive cases, 41 cured, recovery rate 97%, mortality 2.2%, positivity rate 4.7%

Jamshedpur: There is good news for the city. No death was reported from any hospital due to coronavirus on Tuesday. On Monday too the city was spared the grief of losing life to coronavirus. The total death toll for East Singhbhum district till Tuesday remained at 369. Coronavirus deaths have come down in the city from a high of around 7-8 per day to 1 to 3 in a week.

There is improvement in the situation in the district too. However, the district administration fears that relaxation in lockdown rules could cause the pandemic to return in second wave. That is why the administration has decided to enforce the social distancing rules strictly.

According to official data, on Tuesday, 28 new positive cases were detected in the district. With this, the total number of infections in the district has reached 16,619.

On the other hand, 41 patients were cured and discharged taking the total recoveries in the district to 16,040.

For now, the number of active cases in the district till Tuesday is 210.

As per official data, the recovery rate in the district has reached 97%, while the mortality rate is 2.2%. The positivity rate in the district is 4.7%.
