Corona kills 4 in Jamshedpur on Tuesday, total death toll 332

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus infection has killed 4 persons in Jamshedpur on Tuesday taking the total deaths due to the virus to 332.

According to to the official data, on Tuesday itself 95 new covid-19 patients have been found in East Singhbhum. With this the total number of infections in the district has now reached 14,371.

Those who succumbed to the virus on Tuesday included 3 from Sonari and 1 from Burmamines area.

On the other hand, 151 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals of the state. The number of total recovered patients in East Singhbhum district has now reached 12,486. With this the total recovery rate for the city has now reached 87 percent.

Out of the 4 patients who succumbed to the virus, 3 were being treated in TMH, while one was admitted in MGMCH.

The casualty included a 66-year-old male from Sonari, a 64-year-old woman from Sonari and a 43-year-old male from Sonari. The casualty in MGMCH included a 60-year-old resident of Burmamines.

The number of new patients detected is less than 100 for the 5th consecutive day. On Tuesday, 2,138 samples were collected by the district.
