Woman’s dead body found in shrubs at Rajendra Nagar, Sakchi

Family and locals create ruckus, police looking into all possible angles

Jamshedpur: The dead body of a 35-year-old woman was found Thursday from the shrubs near boundary of Tata Steel company quarters in Rajendra Nagar under the jurisdiction of Sakchi police station. The incident caused a commotion in the area.

The deceased has been identified as Budhi Bhuiyan of Hume Pipe Bustee.

The family members of the deceased named two persons as being responsible for her death and created a ruckus in the area.

According to police sources, the deceased had gone to pick bricks in the shrubbery adjacent to the quarters boundary. She was from a poor family and used to pick coal, stones etc for her livelihood.

The dead body was in a deformed state. There is a suspicion that she might have been killed by assaulting and crushing her with big stones. Police are also looking at all other possible angles.

The police reached the place and persuaded the protesting family members and locals to allow the dead body to be sent for post mortem.

The police are investigating the case and are probing all angles.
