Vendors of Education Department go through harrowing times due to pending bills worth crores

Jamshedpur: Vendors of District Education Department have been making rounds of DSE office for months for clearance of their pending dues. Yet nothing much has been done by the education department for clearance of their dues.

Around 25 vendors supply various provisions and food items, like food grains, vegetables, milk, clothes etc.

However, their bills are not being paid. They are being harassed by their suppliers in turn.

However, the education department officials are not paying any attention to their woes.

Speaking to Town Post, Suresh Agrawal, a vendor, said that they have to sign an agreement with the education department for supply of provisions. They are supposed to be paid in March. However, this year, they have not been paid yet.

He said that all vendors are going through a stressful time due to pending dues.

The DSE however said that he would send an enquiry report about this after knowing the facts. Asked about the pending dues, he said that he has joined recently and would work only on the basis of the report.
