Eight more test positive for COVID-19 in East Singhbhum on Thursday, total infected now 351

Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum again saw a sharp increase in the number of fresh Corona positive cases. In all, eight more persons tested positive on Thursday, while one person is still suspected of being Corona positive. His test result is yet to be confirmed.

Out of these eight persons, one has a travel history to Howrah, one to Qatar, one to Mumbai and three to Pune, one to Haryana and one to Delhi. The suspected positive case too has a travel history to Delhi.

Those who have been found Corona positive today includes one from Sundarnagar, one from Giridih, one from Mango, one from Sidhgora, one from Birsanagar, one from Parsudih and two from Dhalbhumgarh. One suspected positive case is a resident of Dhalbhumgarh.

All these newly identified positive patients are being admitted in the Covid-19 wards of the city hospitals.

Yesterday, the number of new cases had come down to two. But, on Thursday again saw a jump and reached eight.

Meanwhile, the district administration has again reiterated its appeal to the citizens to continue abiding by all the safety precautions to prevent the spread of the disease and to continue social distancing.
