Ten more positive cases in East Singhbhum, 16 cured and released too

Total active Covid-19 patients in East Singhbhum now 131

Jamshedpur: Ten more persons tested positive on Tuesday for Covid-19 in East Singhbhum district. On the other hand 16 persons have also been cured and released today.

Those who tested positive for Covid-19 in East Singhbhum included two from Musaboni, one from Dhalbhumgarh, one from Karandih, one from Samayadih and two from Jamshedpur city.

All seven fresh cases have had a travel history and had been institutionally quarantined. Now that they have been found positive for Covid-19, they have been admitted into Covid wards and are being treated.

The district administration has once again appealed to the general public to co-operate in fighting this viral outbreak.

The administration has appealed not to go outside unnecessarily and to always wear a mask and continue washing hand with soap and using sanitisers. The administration also advised to continue complying with social distance norms.

In a good news, 15 persons have been cured and declared covid-19 free and therefore released from hospitals. In all, two patients were released from MGMCH, 4 from Tata Motors Hospital and 9 from TMH.

Those who have been cured and released from hospitals include 2 from Pipla Belajuri, 6 from Chakulia, 1 from Musaboni, 1 from Dundu, 1 from Sidhgora, 1 each from Mango, Manifit, Daiguttu and Birsanagar.

All of these patients have been advised to remain in home quarantine for the next 14 days. They have also been given dry rations during discharge from hospitals.

The total number of active cases in East Singhbhum has now reached 193. However, the number of active patients is only 131 as 62 persons have been cured and declared Covid-19 free too.
