I Strongly Believe We Belong in Top Six: Jamshedpur FC Head Coach Khalid Jamil

Jamil Expresses Gratitude for Coaching Role, Believes Club Deserves Top-Six Finish

Khalid Jamil, the head coach of Jamshedpur FC, shares his thoughts on the team’s performance in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 season, emphasizing his belief that the club merits a place in the top six despite falling short of the playoffs.

JAMSHEDPUR – In an introspective moment, Jamshedpur FC head coach Khalid Jamil opened up about his experience at the helm of the team and his aspirations for the future.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the club, Jamil stated, "Being entrusted with the role of coaching Jamshedpur FC has been an immensely rewarding experience, and I am deeply appreciative of the trust placed in me by the management."

Reflecting on the team’s performance, the head coach asserted his conviction that Jamshedpur FC deserves a spot among the top six teams in the league.

While acknowledging that a victory in their final home game would have alleviated some pressure, Jamil couldn’t help but voice his lingering dissatisfaction with the team’s ultimate standing.

The head coach praised the unwavering commitment displayed by both foreign and Indian players, emphasizing their tireless efforts throughout the season.

Jamil also acknowledged the invaluable support provided by the club’s management, recognizing their role in fostering a conducive environment for the team’s success.

Despite the collective efforts, Jamil maintained that the team fell short of their intended target, asserting, "While I refrain from assigning blame, I firmly believe that we possess the potential to achieve better results."

Looking ahead to the future, the head coach stressed the importance of setting higher goals and striving for excellence in all facets of the club’s operations.

"As we embark on preparations for the upcoming season, it is imperative that we aim for the highest standards, ensuring that our facilities and on-field performance align with our true capabilities," Jamil affirmed, underlining his vision for the club’s future.
